The Scent of the Night

Once again, darkness has fallen across the sky, the moon rises and the stars shine coldly in the heavens above.

It is getting colder and the leaves are falling to the ground.

The trees will lose the beauty of thier leaves, the wildfire of colors will turn brown and dark, thier limbs like naked arms reaching toward the sky, almost as if they are pleading for something.

The smell of the ground will be earthy and moist, as the scent of burning wood from nearby fireplaces drift along the wind. Such an enticing smell.

Will you take the time to take a little pleasure in these scents?

The early morning hours or late at night, when the there is little to no noise. Close your eyes, lean your head back, smell the scents around you.

Take time for little pleasures like this.

The Dark Path

There is always a path to our road that leads into Darkness.

We never know what will be ahead, and we are definately not the Masters of our own Destiny. The paths ahead lie in uncertainty.

It is only those of us courageous (or foolish) enough to set our feet on these paths that push our way forward into the Darkness to see what awaits......good or bad.
